Here Comes The Sun

For this book project, I wanted to pay homage to one of my favorite artists, The Beatles. I chose to portray the song Here Comes the Sun because of the imagery of the lyrics. Using fonts that harken back to that iconic, bubbly 1960s style, and a very drawn-out gradient of colors, I wanted to represent the experience of watching a sunrise as you flip open the pages. The colors slowly move from dark purple to bright yellow through shades of orange and pink. The pages don't open like a regular book, they turn outwards from the middle and form a circle that eventually surrounds the sun that is revealed at the very end.

This book received a 2020 American Advertising Federation Silver ADDY Award and was featured in the 2020 Concordia College Student Juried Show.
